Equiteq advises Agilia Infrastructure Partners on its investment from Growth Capital Partners

London, October 2026 — Equiteq served as exclusive sell-side advisor to Agilia Infrastructure Partners (“Agilia”), a London-headquartered, specialist UK infrastructure advisory firm providing senior, client-led consultancy across the full lifecycle of major infrastructure projects, on its new investment from Growth Capital Partners (“GCP”).

Founded in 2016 by co-CEOs Mike Pugsley and Amar Qureshi, Agilia has built a differentiated proposition as the go-to partner throughout the life of complex, mega infrastructure projects. Its senior team members, each with direct experience of landmark UK programmes, enable Agilia to occupy a position of influence on these major projects and act as trusted strategic partner to its clients, backed by a genuine track record of delivery.

GCP’s investment will be alongside that of Mike and Amar’s as well as Agilia employees – maintaining the crucial alignment within the business which has been a key driver of its success to date.

The partnership with GCP will support Agilia’s next phase of development by continuing its excellent quality led growth across key industries, with further investment in Agilia’s talented team.

Mike Pugsley and Amar Qureshi, Co-CEO, Agilia, commented:

“We’re delighted to be partnering with GCP. We built Agilia around the belief that clients require a partner who has the experience of having genuinely done the job and is committed to transmitting that to meeting client needs. From our first conversations it was clear GCP shares that same practical, partnership-led quality focussed approach. This partnership gives us the strategic support and network to continue to build on our foundation, investing in our people, building our capability even further and continuing to deliver for our clients across Energy, Water, Transport and Defence as we take Agilia into its next phase of sustainable growth.”

Julia Pyke, CBE, Executive Chair, Agilia, commented:

“I am confident that GCP will be a great partner for Agilia. They are committed to people businesses which resonates with what we do on a daily basis – serve people, communities and the wider economy in delivering vital infrastructure to the nation.”

Jay Salter, Investment Director, GCP, commented:

“We’ve been really impressed by the calibre of the Agilia team and the strength of the relationships they’ve built across the infrastructure sector. Mike and Amar have built a genuinely differentiated position in the infrastructure advisory market, and we’re looking forward to working closely with them and the team as they accelerate their growth plans.”

As the leading UK investor specialising in the Knowledge Economy, this investment partnership with Agilia aligns closely with GCP’s strategy of backing ambitious, people-driven businesses with deep, specialist expertise. Agilia exemplifies this through its differentiated position as a trusted partner across some of the UK’s most complex infrastructure projects.

Ravi Monteiro, Partner, GCP, commented:

“Agilia is a fantastic example of the specialist, people-driven businesses we look to back, and we’re delighted this is the third investment from GCP’s Fund VI. Businesses that can demonstrate genuine subject matter expertise and a human premium, rooted in deep, hands-on experience and the trust of their clients will continue to be a growth engine of the UK economy, and Agilia has that in spades. We look forward to partnering with Mike, Amar, Julia and the team as they build on that platform.”

Mike Pugsley and Amar Qureshi, Co-CEO, Agilia, commented on Equiteq’s role:

“Our journey with Equiteq began with a strategic review several years ago, well before we decided to seek investment. That gave the team a deep understanding of Agilia, our ambitions and, importantly, what mattered to us as shareholders and as a business. When the time came to explore investment, they used that insight, together with their strong relationships across the UK investor community, to design and run a highly tailored process focused on finding the right partner for Agilia rather than simply pursuing a conventional sale.

In GCP, we have found a partner that shares our ambition for the business and will support our next phase of growth while preserving the independence, culture and employee-led values that make Agilia distinctive. Throughout the process, the Equiteq team was always there when we needed them, providing thoughtful advice and hands-on support at every stage. We are enormously grateful for their commitment, availability and highly personal approach throughout the journey.”

Emmanuel Kostucki, Managing Director, Equiteq, added:

“Agilia is a rare business, combining highly specialised expertise with a critical role in helping governments and developers deliver some of the UK’s most important infrastructure projects.

The transition from employee ownership to a partnership with GCP is a highly distinctive transaction that required a genuinely bespoke approach. From the outset, the objective was not simply to find an investor, but to find the right partner – one that could support Agilia’s growth ambitions while preserving the independence, culture and employee-led values that have been fundamental to its success.

We are delighted to have helped Mike, Amar and the wider Agilia team achieve that outcome and secure such a strong partner for the next stage of their journey.”
