Equiteq is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor on the transaction, advising on all aspects of the process through to completion, in which Torq Consulting (“Torq” or the “Company”), a provider of AI-powered custom development and data-driven business intelligence serving complex organizations, has been acquired by Sendero Consulting (“Sendero”), a Dallas, Texas-based management consulting firm. The acquisition of Torq follows Sendero’s comprehensive rebrand in late 2025 and represents the next stage of the firm’s national expansion, allowing Sendero to deliver all aspects of large-scale transformation programs.
Founded in 2020, Torq is a Plano, Texas-based consulting firm serving a blue-chip enterprise client base across the automotive, airline, consumer services and financial services sectors. The Company’s core capabilities span modern software development, data engineering and analytics, digital product strategy and technical program management.
Torq will retain its name and its Plano offices, operating as Torq, a Sendero Company. Founder and CEO Chad Staiger will continue to lead the business within the combined platform, alongside Torq’s existing leadership team.
Founded in 2004, Sendero serves clients nationwide from six offices in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Nashville and Phoenix. The firm delivers business transformation across technology optimization, operational improvement, workforce productivity and customer experience, with established sector expertise in healthcare, energy and utilities, manufacturing and CPG, financial services, retail and hospitality.
“For decades, businesses have had to adapt their processes to fit the rigid requirements of packaged software. AI-powered custom development changes that equation entirely, allowing bespoke solutions to be built directly around the business to drive genuine innovation and differentiation,” said Bret Farrar, Founder and CEO of Sendero. “Torq brings the technical depth and the track record to do that at scale, and this acquisition immediately expands our ability to deliver those results for clients nationwide.”
“Joining forces with Sendero is a milestone moment for Torq and a step-change in what we can deliver to our clients and our people,” said Chad Staiger, Founder and CEO of Torq Consulting. “Sendero carries an outstanding reputation and a long-standing history of brand recognition in its markets, backed by deep industry experience. We are gaining the scale needed to execute larger, more complex digital transformations while remaining firmly committed to our shared values.”
Commenting on Equiteq’s role in the transaction, Chad Staiger said, “The Equiteq team was an outstanding partner throughout every stage of the process. As first-time participants in a process of this kind, we relied heavily on their expertise and guidance. They took the time to help us understand each step, provided thoughtful advice through every key decision, and were always focused on achieving the best possible outcome - not just for the business, but for our leaders, people, and the future of our firm.
Today, we couldn't be more excited about our partnership with Sendero and what lies ahead. Looking back, it's hard to imagine reaching this outcome without Graham and the entire Equiteq team by our side. Their professionalism, strategic insight, and genuine commitment gave us confidence throughout the process, and we're incredibly grateful for everything they did to help us reach the right outcome for our next chapter.”
Graham Bell, Managing Director at Equiteq, said, “Torq is a highly differentiated technology consulting platform, combining deep engineering capability with a blue-chip enterprise client base. Sendero and Torq are an excellent strategic fit: the combination pairs Sendero’s transformation heritage and national footprint with Torq’s build-side engineering capability, creating a platform positioned for its next phase of growth. We were delighted to advise on the transaction and to work with both management teams to bring it to a successful close.”
Greg Fincke, Managing Director at Equiteq, added, “This is a very well-matched transaction. The two businesses are highly complementary, the cultural fit is strong, and the combination creates something more capable than either firm on its own, which is exactly what a good deal should do. Both management teams approached the process constructively and with a clear focus on the long-term outcome, and it was a pleasure to work alongside them to get it done."
