Equiteq acts as advisor to Iverson Associates on its Sale to Royal Peterson Control Union

Equiteq is pleased to announce that it acted as advisor to Iverson Associate Sdn Bhd (“Iverson”), one of Malaysia’s leading professional IT training providers, to Royal Peterson Control Union Group B.V. (“RPCU”), a family-owned, global leader in testing, inspection and certification, as well as in energy logistics, that employs over 6,000 people across 80 countries.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Malaysia, Iverson delivers IT, digital and professional skills training to approximately 30,000 learners annually. Iverson has built a strong reputation for high-quality IT training and certification, supporting organizations across Malaysia with the skills needed to respond to fast-changing technology demands in areas like AI, cloud, cybersecurity and digital transformation. Its customer base includes major corporations, government departments and agencies, government-linked companies, and many leading businesses in Malaysia.

RPCU is a Netherlands-based, family-owned expert in testing, inspection, and certification, as well as in energy logistics. Founded in 1920, RPCU serves its clients globally in over 80 countries for several decades, supports companies across the entire supply chain from field to end customer to meet sustainability, compliance, and regulatory challenges with confidence.

The acquisition marks an important step in RPCU’s diversification strategy, strengthening the group’s growing certification offering across technology, artificial intelligence and professional learning that is becoming more important by the day. The transaction also establishes a strategic platform for RPCU to expand its presence in the corporate learning and workforce development sector across Southeast Asia.

For Iverson, the acquisition will create opportunities to expand Iverson’s well-established training portfolio into new markets. RPCU initially intends to explore growth opportunities in Singapore, China, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines and Indonesia, connecting Iverson’s expertise with RPCU’s broader international network.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
